Obituary for Christine B Leebardt (Bodtlander)
Christine B.Leebardt (nee Bodtlander),66, resident of Hasbrouck Heights passed away suddenly on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was born in Hackensack to the late Carl H. and E. Jane Bodtlander on December 2, 1947.
Christine was a graduate of Berkeley Secretarial School. She had been employed with the Borough of Rutherford as Confidential Assistant to the Borough Administrator for 32 years before retiring in 2003.
Christine was an excellent cook, she was an avid crossword puzzle buff, enjoyed reading and enjoyed surfing the net. She was devoted to her pets; most recently her Corgi “Lou”.
Christine will be deeply missed by her husband Alfred and her step-daughter Robin Leebardt and son-in-law Stuart Mattingly, her sisters, Susan Simone, Pamela and her husband Joseph DeCato, her grandson Connor Leebardt and nieces & nephews; Anthony Simone, Lauren Weiss, Jessica Maddy, Joseph DeCato and great-nieces nephews and loving cousins.
She is predeceased by her Aunt Mary Bousfield, her brother-in-law Anthony Simone, her sister Bonnie Maddy and nephew William Maddy.
Funeral on Friday, Friends are asked to gather 10:45AM for a 11:00am Prayer Service in Grace Episcopal Church, 128 West Passaic Ave., Rutherford.
Private Cremation
Family will receive friends & loved ones on Thursday 2-4PM and 7-9P here in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home
