Regina Katherine (nee Flaherty) O'Brien, 89, of Rutherford, passed away at home on June 11, 2014.
Regina was born in Jersey City on April 18, 1925.
Regina was happily married to the late Thomas B. O'Brien. She proudly served as a registered nurse for many years at the original Jersey City Medical Center and in private practice with Jersey City surgeon, Dr. John L. Costello. She was a parishioner at Saint Mary in Rutherford, NJ.
Regina is survived by her brother, Thomas A. Flaherty and his wife, Mary; her sister, Rosemary McAndrew, her sister Sheila McPherson and her husband, Kenneth
and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her sister Eileen Sheridan and her husband Jerome Sheridan, her sister Helen Kelly and her husband John Kelly, and her brother-in-law Robert McAndrew.
Funeral on Friday June 13th, 9:30am from Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave for 10:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in The Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave Rutherford.
Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Family will receive friends & loved ones Thursday, June 12th, from 3 to 7pm.
