Martin J Brophy, 64, of Lawrenceville, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18th, 2014. He was born in Trenton to Lawrence Brophy, Sr. and Mary (nee Cain) Brophy in 1949.
Martin was the Director of Client Products for Prudential Insurance Company in Newark before retiring two years ago. During his career he was also a former math teacher in Trenton and an adjunct math professor for Mercer County Community College. He was a past Treasurer & member of “LOMA” (Life Office Management Association).Martin loved to travel, attend concerts and Broadway plays in NYC and enjoyed relaxing on Belmar beach.
Martin is predeceased by his wife Zoila (nee Colmenares) in 2009. He will be deeply missed by his beloved Joanne Chervony, his devoted children, Janet Covello and her husband Robert, Dennis Brophy and his wife Rebecca, his beautiful grandchildren, Sophia and Roman Covello and his siblings Lawrence Brophy Jr., Ann-Marie Montibello, Kate Glick and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Dennis Brophy.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26th from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
