Richard Dawson Jr., 61, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 20th, 2014.
He was born to the late Richard and Marie (nee French) Dawson in Newark. Richard, known to everyone as “Ricky” was employed by the Borough of Rutherford in Janitorial/ Maintenance for the Health Department. He was a Parishioner of the Church of Saint Mary and a member of the Kip Center in Rutherford. Ricky really enjoyed fishing.

He will be deeply missed by his dear friend and companion, Jean O’Brien, his brother Ronald, his nieces and nephews; Carrie Winne and husband Brian, Cortney Muller and husband Andrew, Meghan Wilson and husband Josh, great nieces and nephews; Colin, Matthew, Emma, Kaitlyn, Jack, Nolan and many many cousins.
He is predeceased by his siblings Donald Dawson and Katherine Wilson.
Funeral on Tuesday December 30th, gathering 9:30am in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford for 10:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm.
